About TAND
Tennessee Alliance for Neurodiversity
TAND was created with two main objectives:
Help the neurodiverse population connect to the resources they actually are looking for at that moment.
Help providers communicate what they can offer the neurodiverse population.
Compassionate and motivated providers often struggle to communicate exactly what they offer and for whom they are able to offer it. For example, one person may be looking to develop some social skills or life skills, while another person may be looking for validation and acceptance. Both of these are valid and real needs — but if a provider is only able to show they serve “neurodiversity”, then it is easy to get a mismatch. This can lead to frustration or discouragement for everyone involved.
TAND was created to help address this, and thus help build a larger, more confident professional community who can communicate to the local neurodiverse community what they offer — and to help everyone get connected.
